Andrew Hewson is running a Kickstarter for a new book detailing his experiences and insights from a long career in videogame development. I'm not terribly keen on the title of the book ("Hints & Tips for Videogame Pioneers") as it sounds a bit like those "Learn how to program C++ in 24 hours!" books, but I would love to read his accounts of what was one my favourite software houses of the 80s/90s. He has a bunch of great people on board, like Steve Turner, Ben Daglish, Nick Jones, Jeroen Tell and Mike Male, so it should be interesting.
After the first week it's roughly 37% funded - hopefully they'll manage the whole hog.
Rather randomly I just recalled writing to Hewson in what must've been 1985 to enquire about their games and received a rather nice reply along with the catalog.
